Mt.Kanaya is a mountain that is with an altitude of 94 meters high. From the top of the mountain, you can command a whole view of Takada flat field, Yoneyama Mountain, and the Sea of Japan. It is fixed as a relaxation space and you can enjoy out-door sports such as Bobsled in summer season and skiing in winter season. Especially, Mt.Kanaya Ski Park is very famous for its name as a birthplace of skiing. |

A statue of Leruhi A statue of Leruhi who spread skiing all over Japan is built on the heights where you can have a whole view of Takada field. It was built in 1961(Showa era) for the 50th anniversary of the birth of skiing. |

Wonderful Nature In Takadanishi elementary school, we have a walk rally that is held with whole of students at Mt.Kanaya in May every year. |

Super Bobsled Mt.Kanaya is crowded on Super Bobsled from spring to autumn. This Bobsled has 450 meters long course, from the top of the mountain and its speed can be 18 kilometers/hour. Everybody even small kids can enjoy it! |

The village of firefly In Mt.Kanaya, there are many fireflies that are flying in the sky. The firefly eats a shellfish which is called Kawanina and grows up. Kawanina can live in only clean and fresh water. It shows that Mt.Kanaya is very clean and is full of wonderful nature. The appreciation meeting of a firefly will be held in June every year. |
