@As for the west side (reverse-side side of the Takada station) of the town in Takada,
many temples for defense of a castle were collected at the time of the Takada
construction of a castle of the sixth son Matsudaira Tadateru of Ieyasu Tokugawa.
Now, the temple of 63 has put eaves in a row tidily.
It is an area very [ in all the schools ] new as an intensive temple group.@


Jyokoji temple
It is said that it is the temple where the Shinran Saint introduced Jodo Shinshu in the country (Ibaragi Prefecture) in Hitachi. It moved to Shimousa and Shinano and has moved to under Kasugayama-Castle by Kenshin Uesugi's invitation. Then, it moved to Teramachi with the Takada construction of a castle. There was "|֑o (they are two sparrows in the ring of a bamboo)" which is the family crest of the Uesugi family in a temple.
Hondo is a country specification important cultural property, and is the within the prefecture and maximum oldest thing in a Shinshu temple. (It is [ large / of Heisei ] under repair now.) The Shinran Saint's Chokotsu is dedicated to this mausoleum (Shinran's Mausoleum).

Zendouji temple
The proper guidance out of the boat which had a Renkai saint in the beach in Naoetsu by the divine message of a dream in the middle of the Muromachi period (1470 age) a teacher's image, Zendotaishi (Creature of a sickle Kuranaka term) was discovered, and this was founded as the principal image It moved to Teramachi with the Takada construction of a castle of the Matsudaira Tadateru, too.
It was built by the position of the west which shows paradise from the tower of the Takada castle. It is said that those days, the way (way which escapes from a craftsman town (Omachi) with Hommachi, Tabata-cho, and Teramachi) extended in the west from the Takada castle was only the Zendouji Daimon passage (Ninotsuji). Hondo of this temple also had the family crest of a mallow.

Tensouji temple
It is told that it was founded under Kasugayama-Castle by Kenshin Uesugi as long Onji temple for Tensho ten years (1582). It moved to Teramachi with the Takada construction of a castle of the Matsudaira Tadateru in 1614. The name will be changed to Tensouji temple in Meiji 16. The name was taken from Tensoujiin which is Ingo of the third daughter Takada princess Katsuko of the second generation general Hidetada.
It is said that this Yamato is the type it in Yamato at the time of the Takada Kaifu as the front gate is located at the Takada castle. The family crest attached to this Yamato was a family crest of the mallow which is the family crest (it is an old friend with Mito Komon's pillbox) of the Tokugawa family.
